You may have noticed a new :30 spot went up on our site a few days ago starring pro fisherman Skeet Reese. We were contacted a few months ago by 5 Stone Advertising (based in Denver) and asked to create a :30 spot and also a 5-minute point-of-sale video to promote this new line of fishing rods from Wright & McGill (the new Skeet Reese Signature Rod Series). We went out to beautiful Auburn, CA to shoot the videos in early October and we had a great time. The :30 spot was finished a few days ago and should be airing soon on ESPN and other networks that program fishing shows and competitions. The point-of-sale video will be finished in a few weeks and will play in stores around the country that carry Wright & McGill rods. If you haven’t watched the :30 spot yet, check it out below.
Also this past week the Cinema Eye Honors website went live. Our friend, documentarian AJ Schnack, created the awards to honor excellence in non-fiction filmmaking. The website for the 2010 awards was designed by Ryan Nelson (who works in our office in Columbia and recently designed the new Boxcar Films website) and all of the artwork on the website was created by our good friend Ben Chlapek of Neversleeping Design. I think the website and the artwork turned out great, and we’re all excited to see which films will take home a Cinema Eye Award on January 15, 2010.
